Don't put all your eggs in one basket
Diversification means spreading your investments across different companies, sectors, and asset types so a single loss doesn't sink your portfolio. If 100% of your money is in one stock and it drops 80%, you're devastated. If it's one of fifty positions, the damage is minor.
